Finding Calm Amid Cognitive Challenges: How Energy Healing Helped My Mom Live in the “Now”

Watching a loved one struggle with dementia and mood swings can be heartbreaking. My mom had always been strong, but after her stroke, she developed memory challenges and began showing anger and frustration more frequently. Life for her—and for those around her—became a daily struggle of worry, agitation, and confusion.

Over the past several months, I worked with her using Emotion Code and Body Code sessions. What we experienced together was gentle, gradual, and deeply transformative.

From Agitation to Calm

In the beginning, my mom’s anger was a constant presence. Simple tasks or small misunderstandings could trigger frustration. But as we continued the energy healing sessions, I noticed subtle shifts:

  • Her reactions softened

  • Moments of calm began to appear more often

  • She started responding with patience rather than frustration

Even though her cognitive issues remained—short-term memory still challenged by stroke-related brain tissue damage—her emotional state began to stabilize.

Letting Go of Worry

One of the most remarkable changes was her ability to stop worrying about the future. Previously, she would fret over things she could not control, often repeating the same concerns over and over. Energy healing helped release trapped emotions that were holding onto fear and anxiety.

Now, she is able to live more fully in the moment, experiencing life as it is rather than as a source of stress.

Enjoying the Present

Dementia doesn’t have to mean the end of joy. Today, my mom can enjoy simple pleasures—a conversation, a cup of tea, a walk outside—without being clouded by anger or worry. She has learned, in her own way, to embrace the “now”.

Even with her cognitive limitations, there’s a lightness to her spirit, a sense of peace that shines through. Watching this transformation has been nothing short of beautiful.

Energy Healing Supports the Whole Being
